Who are we looking for?

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader for our Cyber Defense Strategy and Operations team.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing cyber defense strategic technology plans and roadmaps, managing cyber defense operational capabilities, and developing solutions to emerging cyber defense challenges for the enterprise. The role can be based in either of our GHD offices in Irvine, CA or Brisbane, Australia.

You must hold permanent residency or be an Australian or US Citizen depending on where you reside.

In this diverse role you will:

• Provide leadership and guidance to a close knit team as well foster a high performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture
• Develop strong and collaborative relationships with the IS Technology Managers, and other key managers such as our Risk & Compliance Manager across the IS group and GHD overall
• Engage regularly with IS managers to ensure that your projects, initiatives, and services are meeting the expressed and implied requirements of the enterprise and to be across future requirements for services and products
• Foster an open and collaborative approach with all stakeholders
• Partner with business and technology subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technology solutions
• Contribute to the effectiveness of the global technology team through collaboration and support of peers and their initiatives
• Develop strong understanding of the GHD Enterprise and build relationships as required
• Participate in the regular review and performance monitoring of the security technologies and solutions to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business and contribute to the effective management of our cyber defenses
• Support the research, evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of those standards as they relate to cyber defense technology
• Lead technical and process reviews of security operations and critical incidents to support continuous improvement
• Develop security baselines for core functions
• Ensure the CTO and other key stakeholders are well briefed and up to date on key projects, issues and initiatives

What would you bring to the team?

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security or Business Degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business or related field with relevant industry certifications in Security, Risk Management and cyber defense operations
• 10+ years' experience (including leadership) gained from working in a large and/or global professional services organization
• Extensive knowledge of security technologies, cyber threats, security operations, technology, and trends
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
• High level of commercial aptitude

The salary range for this position is $143,250-$215,280 depending on experience.
