Summary

Oversees ongoing maintenance, growth, and lifecycle of Logicalis Cloud Services. Focuses on increasingly utilizing automation and innovative delivery methods to support Hybrid Public, Private Cloud operating models building on Logicalis' heritage as IBM, HP, EMC, Cisco, and VMware delivery partner. Focuses on delivery of Linux, AIX, Storage (EMC, IBM, NetApp), Backup (TSM, VEAM, NetBackup) and IBM Power Series services. Works across departments to optimize architectural and engineering efficiency, including tools, process, and staff optimization to deliver best in class customer engagement and satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages Architecture Team - manages virtualization, storage, network, and server personnel in day-to-day operations of Logicalis Cloud; plans customer onboarding and associated tasks for Architects; responds to customer requests such as server and networking changes.
  

• Responsible for Infrastructure Capacity Management - tracks and manages capacity of infrastructure within Logicalis Cloud.
  

• Works with various business departments within Logicalis and customers to ensure technology infrastructure is scalable, reliable and meets needs for immediate and long-term timeframes, including delivery of all or part of Software Defined Data Center Strategy.
  

• Provides technical feedback to proactively improve customers' environments, includes analyzing changing business needs and application requirements, and planning for long term scalability of IT infrastructure.
  

• Defines/Controls Cloud Procedures - defines efficient and secure Cloud procedures; ensures controls around those procedures and operational teams are trained and aware.
  

• Participates in Cloud DevOps Projects - works with Product Managers to define new services and improves existing services as member of Cloud Dev/Ops team.
  

• Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
  

• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
  

• Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
  

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Managed Services Architect team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience//Technical Requirements/Certifications

Equivalent combination accepted.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  

Experience / Technical Requirements

• 7-10 years' experience in related area with IT background including:
  

• Infrastructure technical background - experience with broad array of cloud technologies including VMWare, Cisco UCS, IBM Storage, Cisco Networking.
  

• Data Center - experience managing data center environment.
  

• Management - experience managing technical team.
  

• Managed Services - experience working in Managed Services organization including working with Service Management /Ticketing system.
  

• Business Case - experience building business cases for capital expenses.
  

• Scripting/Programming - experience with scripting or software development.
  

• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
  

Certifications

• None
