Position Details

• Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.

• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager

• Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work

• Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor

• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings

• Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.

• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.

• Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Proficient performing desk and furniture repair

• Proficient performing surface preparation and paint

• Proficient performing wall and ceiling tile repair

• Proficient performing electrical repairs

• Proficient performing roof repairs

• Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance

• Proficient performing parking lot repair and maintenance

• Proficient performing plumbing repair and maintenance

• Proficient performing lock repairs

• Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant

• Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.

• Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner

• Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.

• Plumbing skills a must. License preferred.

• Must be 25 years old or older.

• Must possess a valid driver's license. (Prefer candidates have their own transportation).

• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.

• Must have 3-years of experience.

• Must have skills and knowledge in all phases of maintenance repairs, carpentry, light electric, plumbing, drywall and spackle repairs, painting would be a plus.
