Loss Prevention Investigator

As YETI's Retail Loss Prevention Investigator, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our company's assets and minimizing losses due to theft, fraud, and other administrative causes. You will work independently and collaboratively to investigate losses, conduct thorough analyses, and implement strategic solutions to deter and prevent future incidents. This role is highly mobile, requiring approximately 50% travel to various store locations within our regional footprint.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations into external and internal theft, vendor fraud, supply chain and other administrative losses.
  
• Utilize surveillance footage, transaction data, and other evidence to gather information and build comprehensive case files.
  
• Interview witnesses and suspects, collecting statements and testimonies while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
  
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
  
• Collaborate with store management, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure effective resolution of cases.
  
• Analyze loss prevention data to identify trends, patterns, and vulnerabilities, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  
• Conduct audits and inspections of store operations and security protocols to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all investigations and activities.
  
• Stay informed on the latest loss prevention trends, techniques, and legal regulations.
  
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards, and by following all safety protocols and procedures.
  
• Respond promptly and appropriately to safety incidents and emergencies.
  

• Contribute to the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
  
• At least 4 years of experience as a Loss Prevention Investigator or related role.
  
• Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations, collect evidence, and build solid cases.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for observation and identification of discrepancies.
  
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with others.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  
• Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
  
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
