Responsibilities

This position supports the Legal Writing and Bar Success programs as a member of the Faculty Support Office, to include managing Canvas sites and coordinating program workshops. Provides administrative support to Legal Writing and Bar Success Programs faculty and staff. Also assists with exams administration and other general faculty support roles.

Provides administrative support to the legal writing faculty and legal writing program. Oversees the legal writing organization sites on Canvas for each legal writing faculty member. Maintains all program filing, and calendar of all assignments, events, trainings, etc. for the program.

Directly supports faculty teaching Bar Topics and Legal Analysis courses, including coordination of supplemental summer workshop series and related events. Maintains and updates the Spear the Bar Canvas org site. Works with the Director of Bar Success to support Bar-related workshops hosted by the Academic Programs Office, including promotion of events, event set-up, and attendance tracking.

Responsible for the preparation, dissemination and collection of assigned exams each semester, including but not limited to: typing exam, copying exam, preparing supplemental exam materials, distribution and collection of exam materials, and securing exam materials.

Provides support for conferences, symposia and other special events as needed. Completes training activities and participates in departmental meetings and trainings as assigned by the supervisor. This includes but is not limited to: computer tutorials, professional development sessions, cross-training presentations, and other activities.

Qualifications High school diploma/equivalency and four years of experience in an educational and/or office setting. (Note: Post-high school education may substitute at the comparable rate.)

Applicants must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) or equivalent software, and Adobe Acrobat Pro or similar software. Knowledge of proper office procedures and etiquette, and the ability to use standard office equipment, are essential.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally in writing, to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines, and to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers, supervisors and interdepartmental personnel. Must also demonstrate a high level of organizational ability, to support multiple faculty members and administrators simultaneously.Preferred A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Anticipated Salary Range

Salary range $30,000-$34,000 depending upon education and experience.

Schedule This position works in the office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour break for lunch. Occasional overtime hours may be required during final exams or for special events.Criminal Background Check
