Position Summary:

The Lean Transformation Director is responsible for all aspects of Lean Healthcare activities across the site. The coordinator works closely with Lean facilitators in the developments of YKHC's Lean strategy as well as the execution of Kaizen events and other Lean projects. In addition, the Lean Transformation Director is responsible for tracking and communicating the results of Lean activities at YKHC to the Senior Leadership Team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: (See section D. Position Responsibilities).

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree. Master's or professional degree in a healthcare field preferred.
  • Demonstrated Lean or process improvement Experience preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare and/or internal audit required.
  • 3 years professional experience in a leadership capacity in a healthcare compliance office preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal, analytical, computer skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of management in a diverse organization.
  • Experience with Performance Improvement processes in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Word, and Excel

  • Preferred Skills
    • A self-assured individual who inspires trust and confidence. Focuses on success of others through listening, sharing ideas and recognition
    • Understanding of both clinical and non-clinical activities and processes within a healthcare setting
    • A proven change agent.
    • Past experience in Lean, Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering
    • Good facilitation, teaching and coaching skills
