Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Lead Software Engineer - FileNet/BAW Administrator to join our Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) Technology team based in the US.

A role you will love

This role will provide technical leadership and delivery of FileNet and BPM platforms for the Corporate Trust Technology team. They will work within an Agile environment to develop and support FileNet platforms across the Computershare portfolio as well as lead complex technology initiatives including those that are with companywide impact.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the departments FileNet and BAW ecosystem supporting multiple product groups within Computershare Corporate Trust and ensure resiliency and production performance of the platform.
  • Installation, configuration, tuning, and production support of all FileNet and BAW components.
  • Custom code development needed to address business needs with the FileNet platform, custom document extractions/injections, bulk meta-data updates, document class design/implementation, integration with external applications via MQ, Web Services, and other technologies.
  • Apply knowledge of standards, policies, best practice and organisational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively within your team and with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team - through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others - to ensure that your team delivers high-quality, maintainable software which adheres to internal standards and policies.
  • Support the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers to minimise their impact on the team's delivery and/or supported products.
  • Identify and support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team that would benefit the business e.g. efficiency in the software development process or improved customer experience.

What will you bring to the role?

This role will work within cross-functional teams, this role requires strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business. You will also need:
  • 10+ years of experience planning, designing, implementing, configuring, upgrading, migrating, troubleshooting, and supporting high availability of FileNet environments in high volume business environments.
  • 10+ years of experience with Engineering and implementing Custom Applications development using FileNet, WebSphere, Java, and supporting technologies.
  • Should have hands on and clear concepts for FileNet and BAW integration with external systems.
  • Experience on Relational Databases like Oracle/SQL Server.
  • Experience with SCM tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
  • Has a strong work ethic and is able to deal with sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Curious and continuous learner - investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts.
  • Self-motivated and can use own initiative to work with limited guidance to implement innovative solutions.
Bonus Points if you have:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science
  • Experience in financial services idustry
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience Windows Administration and Shell scripting
  • Experience in DevOps setup
  • Experience in Test Automation Frameworks like Selenium
