Job Details:

This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Some Saturday's , 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Starting Pay: $18.30/hour + $2.00 shift premium

  • This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
  • Assist department supervisor in coordination of production by informing team members of Supervisor's instructions and directions.
  • Explain and assure understanding of such directions.
  • Monitor performance of equipment and notify Supervisor of needed repairs and inoperative equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all jobs within the department and provide training assistance to team members in new positions. Provide assistance in clean-up and sanitation of the shift and check readiness of equipment.
  • Report personnel questions and concerns to supervisor. Responsible for all other duties assigned by the Supervisor, but not including disciplining employees.
  • Must be able to process and complete necessary paperwork associated with the department. Must be able to learn and utilize basic computer and SPC skills.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday
  • Must be a full-time team member and have completed the 90-day probationary period. If there no qualified candidates, probationary team members will be considered.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must not have a self-demotion or declined a job bid in the last six (6) months, unless the bid is to a higher class.
  • Must have less than 8 attendance points at the time of the bid and to be awarded the job.
  • Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available class 1 position in the plant.

This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
