Zurich (Owing Mills, MD) seeks a Lead Developer in their Electronic Document Delivery area to manage and control system development projects. Specific duties include: undertake the most complex business analysis and software development work typically requiring a deep knowledge of working practices and business processes in one or more business areas; participate as a technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software, while under general direction; provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues to support the specification and development of software solutions; and work with co-located and distributed team members, including vendor resources. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL HQ or Owings Mills, MD office as needed.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Professional Programmer Analyst, or similar position in the Information Technology area. Must have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: Documaker Studio; DAL scripting; XML; SQL; JCL; and Commercial insurance applications involved with all facets of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) using a Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid approach. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL HQ or Owings Mills, MD office as needed.
