Job Description Summary:
PayPal is seeking a Lead Business System Analyst to join the Global Finance Operations team. This position is located in Omaha, NE. The Lead Business System Analyst will manage and support scope assessment , cross functional team communication defining accounting flows and facilitate the UAT activities for the Finance organization at PayPal.

Job Description:

1.The candidate should be able to develop a product roadmap for 5 Product Portfolio's and work with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Accounting Policy Group, Program managers, product, development/FADS, analytics and UX)

2.A candidate should be able to identify risk associated with a product and help RCIP team document it for its portfolio.

3.Execute on the roadmap and identify the matrices to define the success of a portfolio and product launch.

4.Candidate should be equipped to work independently in a highly collaborative , cross-functional matrix organization who should be able to gather , collect and analyze accounting requirement from product requirement and translate them into data, accounting ,reconciliation and reporting related requirement.

5.Candidate should act as a liaison between GCP, External banks, Treasury, ARP, Accounting, Disputes, Accounting policy, Risk, Operational reporting, regulatory reporting, AFI BA , Recon,ECC and Corrections team to gather requirement and assess impact.

6.The candidate should be able to document the outcome of discussion with in a BRD that document Product Description, Signed off T-accounts, Reconciliation approach, bank accounts and GL (if needed)

7.The candidate should be able to communicate the test data requirements when planning a product BRD to align with upstream partner team.

8.Should be assertive to call out risks of delay upfront if the test execution impact the product launch timelines in right forum.

9.The candidate should be able to kick off a BRD discussion with all the impacted teams and ensure that teams are equipped with all inputs to design right products.

10.The candidate should be able to work with accounting function to execute the user acceptance test and seek sign off.

11.The candidate should be able to approve the MDM configs needed to develop a finance product

12.The candidate should have experience to manage small items of 2-3 BSA's, mentor them and set them to path of success.

13.Provide the right support to the RTB team for products in warranty stage

Preferred Qualification

1. 8-10 years of product management experience with a focus on payment industry, financial services or a fintech firm.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or other equivalent degree. MBA highly preferred.
3. Experience in writting t-accounts, understanding the payment flows and produce a BRD that documents the accounting flows and reconciliation for a product.
4. Working knowledge of SQL, FPSL (good to have), and ETL data flow pipeline
5. Ability to work in ambiguous environments to bring structure and clarity to all stakeholders.
6. Ability to translate product needs into finance requirements, understand technology dependencies, and discuss technical trade-offs
7. Strong collaboration skills, ability to drive and influence complex decision-making with various stakeholder groups and build consensus
8. Excellent communication and ability to simplify and tailor messages to different audiences
9.Robust problem-solving ability, breaking down complex challenges to find solutions
10.Highly comfortable with data and making data-backed product decisions with a bias for action
11.Growth mindset with an ability to pro-actively seek feedback
