General Summary

The Truck Driver transports goods and raw materials over land to job sites

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • This Driver must be capable of moving equipment, hauling drill cuttings and/or fluids in a safe and professional manner.
  • Load, unload and secure load as per DOT laws and Layne Christensen Company policies.
  • Capable of maintaining and turning in DOT log book, driver report, and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Maintain valid Class A CDL license, with Tanker and Haz-Mat Endorsement
  • Requires extensive out of town and/or out of state work including overnight and weekend travel
  • Inspect loads properly
  • Able to direct helper when needed

Education
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Certification
  • Technical school certification preferred.
  • Class A drivers license with a tanker endorsement

Work Experience
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience of professional driving experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient in basic math.
  • Working knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a small hand tools.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to pass drug screen and fit for duty physical.
