Job Description

Eurofins BPT-Columbiais looking for a Laboratory Trainer to join our team located in Columbia, Missouri. The Laboratory Trainer provides laboratory training for employees and new hires within their existing group. The Laboratory Trainerworks collaboratively with leadership to develop and conduct technical training programs and procedures that support the laboratory objectives and comply with SOPs and regulations.

Duties include:

  • Deliver laboratory induction training to all new joiners.
  • Coordinate the training for new hires.
  • Develop and deliver technical scientific training / training courses according to the needs of the different departments.
  • Conduct laboratory training for employees and new hires.
  • Collaborate with operational leads in developing / delivering training.
  • Conduct training needs analysis.
  • Schedule internal and external training courses.
  • Maintain project-training calendar.
  • Publish training metrics report.
  • Provide support on training matters during audits and inspections.
  • Communicate and escalate training updates to next management level as required.
  • Collaborate and integrate with site/and or parenteral training teams to benchmark and share best practice.
  • Ensure that all training schedules are running as planed and taking proactive action to ensure the same.
  • Report to management routinely on progress of new hires and maintain daily progress logs for each new hire.
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
  • Acts as an internal resource for lab training and education needs.
  • Sets priorities and manages time effectively by multitasking to maximizing productivity.
  • Participates in efforts to improve existing systems or operations when new organizational approaches are needed. Seeks out solutions and resources to meet identified needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.
The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Must be a motivated individual with the ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and leadership; excellent presentation skills, and ability to support e-learning as needed.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of training, particularly adults.
  • Training design and development experience a plus.
  • Ability to work with individuals one-on-one or teach as a group. Ability to follow a training curriculum schedule for multiple new hires at differing levels.
  • Deep understanding of chromatography principles and systemsis preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships by working cooperatively with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a science background.
  • Ability to work independently is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am.- 4:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
