Job Description

  • Assisting with general lab maintenance and cleanliness
  • Requiresstanding for long periods of time
  • Position will assist with sample prep
  • Will serve as a back-up for customer support and lab support
  • Perform testing activities as directed by Analytical Chemistry Operations Manager in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor backlog and plan testing schedule to ensure quoted turnaround times are met.
  • Wet chemistry techniques utilized will include gravimetry, titrimetry, colorimetry and others as needed.
  • Instrumentation utilized will include LECO, IC, FIA and others as needed.
  • Maintain neat and accurate records.
  • Enter testing data into LIMS and monitor for QC failures.
  • Review and approve laboratory analytical data.
  • Monitor and record environmental conditions in laboratory. Alert management of any out of tolerance findings.
  • Perform calibrations/checks of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain glassware inventory for laboratory use.
  • Maintain chemical/reagent traceability.
  • Assist with maintenance of chemical/supply inventory.
  • Support the maintenance of controlled documents related to laboratory operations/testing through editing of documents and/or reviewing revisions.
  • Support quality system improvements through completion of Corrective and Preventive Action forms, documenting Non-Conformances and assisting with internal audit findings as assigned by Analytical Chemistry Operations Manager.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Experience with inorganic, organic wastewater chemistry a plus
  • Enjoys fast-paced environment and a variety of chemistry testing types
  • Experience with ISO-17025 a plus
  • Knowledge of WiDNR, and related standards a plus
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS Chemistry preferred but not mandatory
  • Associate's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • At least 1 year in chemistry laboratory
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is Full-Time, Monday-Friday, first shift,withadditional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.
