Laboratory Coordinator

Location: Irvine, CA

Duration: 6 months, Contract, W-2

Pay: $20-$25 an hour

Responsibilities:

* Perform media preparation, accurately measuring and dispensing, in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information

* Perform basic laboratory support functions such as laboratory inventory management, arranging for calibration and maintenance of equipment, lab housekeeping, and receiving of production samples and laboratory supplies

* Communicate and coordinate activities with vendors

* Assist in preparing test supplies

* Clean and prepare lab glassware and supplies

* Operate and clean supporting equipment (e.g autoclaves, dishwashers, etc)

* Assist in maintaining laboratory paperwork

* Other incidental duties

Additional Skills:

* Good computer skills with proven ability to use computer-based programs

* Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills

* Basic knowledge of laboratory processes

* Basic knowledge in mathematics, e.g., decimals and percentage

* Knowledge of and adherence to Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing

* Strict attention to detail

* Ability to work with own team environment

Education and Experience:

* H.S. Diploma or equivalent required

* Other: Experience in Laboratory Preferred
