How you will make an impact:

Laboratory Equipment (LE) is a $1.3B+ business within the Laboratory Products Group (LPG) which offers a broad set of differentiated products and services primarily serving Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostic and Academic markets. LE is a global business with 3,600+ employees, 8 main manufacturing sites and numerous distribution hubs and service depots supported by a global finance team. The business has significant exposure to high growth markets and is focused on providing fit for purpose solutions to our customers.

Seeking a Finance leader who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to the global Lab Equipment operations leadership team. The individual will lead a team of 5 members (30+ employees in total), along with critical dotted line reporting structures to executive leadership. This position will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations strategy, supply chain, CAPEX, operational productivity, inventory, and overall supply/demand processes. This position will ensure strong financial and operational controls, compliance, and timely and accurate financial reporting, consistent with US GAAP and local reporting requirements.

What you will do:

  • Partners with business leadership in driving performance to meet short- and long-term objectives relating to manufacturing operations strategy, supply chain, inventory and operations productivity.
  • Lead all aspects of the operational AOP and STRAP (Strategic Planning) development, monthly actuals and forecasting which is comprised of revenue, manufacturing, distribution & logistics, supply chain, sourcing, inventory, E&O and SG&A / other period costs activities.
  • Develops and applies proactive, early indicator reporting metrics to communicate financial risk or opportunities in a timely manner to senior management.
  • Ownership of capital investment and appropriation process which includes development of capital requests and alignment with LE Leadership to achieve financial commitments.
  • Builds an environment and expectation of strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.
  • Empowers team to drive continuous improvement every day
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned.
How you will get here:

Education

An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required

An MBA or CPA is strongly desired.

Experience
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of growing in responsibility business and leadership experience.
  • Manufacturing background with in-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting for a manufacturing organization.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment preferred.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is desired.

  • Ability to influence and engage business partners, peers, direct/indirect reports; Have ability to effectively collaborate with leadership.
  • Ability to lead the team with effective utilization of financial systems.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leader in resourcing talent and diversity, involved in all parts of the hiring and development process.
  • Travel requirement approximately 25% domestic/international travel required depending on location.
