Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Lab Assistant.

Position Type: Full Time, Contract to possible hire

Duration: 6 months

Location: Calabasas Hills 91301
Shift/Schedule:Tues - Sat 3rd shift, 9:00pm to 5:30am
Training will be two weeks on dayshift. After which they will start their regular shift on nightshift @9pm to 5:30am.
As a Lab Assistant, your responsibilities:

Description:

A Lab Assistant will be working in a high volume, production-based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science. The schedule for this position will be:

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimen's Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $16.00/hr to $19.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
