Job Summary:

The IWMS Business Analyst is an extremely client facing role responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining SMU's integrated workplace management system. The business analyst is responsible for the successful management and roll out and strategy development of the IWMS. This position will be responsible for customer service support, training, business process work-flow analysis, data migration and cleanup, project management, and software configuration and customization. The analyst will be expected to coordinate with cross functional internal and customer resources from inception through successful completion.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategy and Planning: Provide overall IWMS technology and process advice and consultation, work with clients and internal teams to define approach and methods for IWMS roll out, assist in developing and deploying operating procedures, provide support and governance for tools, data, policies and processes as it relates to IWMS.
  • IWMS Support: Answer ad-hoc/how-to questions on the IWMS and IWMS process for internal clients, attend meetings and provide IWMS experience, best practices, and project planning advice, regularly meet with project stakeholders to discuss system and changes, facilitate and document enhancement or project requirements in conjunction with OIT, troubleshoot technical issues
  • Project Management: Develop project plans and ensure scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders, ensure all systems of record for project reporting are kept current, communicate status to stakeholders, identify, track, measure and report on key project milestones


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience is required for this position.

Previous experience with a work order management software required. Working knowledge of Planon, TRIRIGA, ARCHIBUS, or other IWMS software preferred. Previous experience working in higher education is helpful, but not required. Space management or project management experience desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a solid customer service orientation. Problem solving, time management and organizational skills are must. Attention to detail is key.

Candidate must have the ability to quickly absorb software knowledge and facilities management functions. Project management best practices and concepts are necessary as is proficiency in preparing and delivering documents, presentations and process work-flows. Must be able to communicate across all lines of communication to a variety of stakeholders of varying technical ability.
