Physical Requirements:- Must be able to work from ladders up to 16' or lifts up to 35 feet, reach overhead and use tools
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in tight places for extended periods of time
- Must be able to distinguish wiring colors
- Must be able to traverse campus while carrying or moving equipment in a reasonable amount of time.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team in front of a classroom audience or in stressful situations
During semester classes: Mon - Fri 10:00am - 7:00pm (40 hrs/wk), Semester Breaks Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm, May occasionally require additional time in the evenings, weekends, etc. to accomplish work goals.
Job Summary:The department provides a wide range of academic technology to faculty, staff and students. This position will provide technical support and installation for standard audio and video technology, PC's, videoconferencing equipment, advanced control systems and maintenance of technology in classrooms/learning spaces. This position must be able to work independently or as a team member. Good communication skills are necessary as this position will interact with customers from different cultures on a regular basis.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Apple and Windows support, customer service skills, AV / PC Hardware and Software skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :No
Preferred Education/Experience:Experience in maintaining and/or supporting audiovisual equipment preferred.
Associate's degree plus two years related experience preferred.
