Keller is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager based out of our Little Elm, TX location. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
  • Create project schedules identifying project deliverables, milestones, resources and required tasks to deliver projects in line with business requirements whilst following Keller's IT project governance framework.
  • Contribute to or lead the development and maintenance of business cases and project approach documents etc.
  • Work with development/technical leads to assign and communicate duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project teams. The PM is responsible for ensuring that activities and actions are coordinated between teams.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline the work plan.
  • Create and maintain project documentation and artifacts throughout project life cycle
  • Proactive in the monitoring & management of project risk and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation plans. Ensure RAID log is reviewed, updated on a regular basis and in a timely manner and maintained accordingly.
  • Escalate project issues and deviations to project schedule, milestones, resources, and processes accordingly.
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the quality and integrity of the information to provide accurate weekly status updates and metrics.
  • Implement project communication plan to ensure proactive communication with various members of the organization and project team including project sponsors, key stakeholders, business analysts, end users and external partners.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure that the IT solutions comply with the necessary Security & Compliance requirements and work with IT teams to ensure that the necessary support/technical documentation is produced.
  • To identify improvements to policies and processes to enable the IT PMO to achieve a higher capability maturity in project and portfolio management.
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to the wider IT cross functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor & support other Project Managers and Business Analysts in their role as Delivery Agents.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated competency in an IT project management/delivery role involving the execution of multiple projects or a large critical program. Experience of software/application development projects is required. A background in software/application development and/or business analysis is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of project management/delivery methodologies (waterfall and agile) and project-planning tools.
  • Experienced using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint, Edge, Project for the Web and ADO)
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources. Ability to network effectively across all functions, suppliers, and cultures globally.
  • Proactive stakeholder Management. Strong people management and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Project management training and certification is highly desirable.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of ITIL 3 Functions & Processes desirable, but not essential.
  • A good understanding and appreciation of Operational Support and post-production sustainment.
