As the IT Partner, North American Consumer Sales and Trade Planning, you'll be accountable for driving digital transformational and technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for Trade technologies (including scenario planning, pre-event analytics, execution & settlement and post-event analytics) as well as demand planning and other sales planning and operating process technologies. You'll also be a key member of the NA Consumer Sales Planning Business Team and will partner with Global Chief Growth Office and Global Commercial IT teams to define, influence, and drive the digital technology transformation and growth for the area.
Reporting into Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) and to the Director - IT Customer Development and Commercial Analytics NA Consumer, you'll lead in enabling, accelerating, and enhancing the business technology digital transformation agenda with focus on shopper experience, design thinking, scalability, stability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring delivery plans are executed and business adoption and outcomes are defined and achieved.
You'll be responsible for building the business capability and technology vision, roadmaps, plans and its execution. This role requires an experienced business technology professional, with experience in digital transformation and platforms. A dynamic leader with a high level of business insight, passion for innovation, dynamic leadership skills, transformative mind-set, and a hyper-focus on making a positive business impact.
Key Interfaces
NA Customer Development stakeholders, Global Chief Growth Officer team, Global IT Delivery teams for Commercial and Data & Analytics, Global IT Technology team, Functional Business Partners, Global Data Privacy & Cyber Security Teams, Global Performance, and Effectiveness team.
Key Accountabilities:
Relationships: Establish trusted, influential relationships between Consumer NA Customer Development stakeholders and IT
Entrepreneur Mindset: Drive strategic business value and innovation, serve as the trusted technology advisor providing thought leadership, consultation, and influence on business strategy.
Product Vision/Strategy & Business Outcomes: Play a major role in the development of technology strategic, innovative and growth plans anticipating future information technology needs based upon solid understanding of digital and industry trends.
Effective Execution: ensures successful agile incremental execution working closely with development teams, understands implications of global solutions and technology change into the NA region. Provides oversight to project execution and leads Steerco meetings.
Manage Portfolio: define and prioritize the portfolio, ensuring the portfolio is aligned to global scalable platforms, standardization, and simplification while having a straight linkage to the business strategy.
Measure Outcome: Develop business cases, change agent, ensures solutions are adopted effectively, measuring business outcome delivered against planned target and adjust solution/process when required
Data Centric Approach: Drive a data centric approach to running the business, leveraging models and algorithms that are embedded into business processes. Understand how data technologies can be used to solve business challenges. Ensure continuous evolution of data lake in support of business needs, focusing on data quality, data consistency and in-time data.
Drive Enterprise thinking and platforms: Influence/co-create Global platform roadmap to maximize value for KCNA markets while driving scale. Drive right governance to Commercial portfolio balancing Global initiatives and regional demand. Collaborate closely with business/delivery capability teams to bring in FOAK innovations to the portfolio with a fail fast, test and learn approach.
Digital by Design: Act as a business technologist bringing ideas and solutions to leverage digital capabilities like AI-ML, UX, APIs/services, RPA, platforms, and eco-systems. Collaborate closely with business/delivery capability teams to bring in first of a kind innovation to the portfolio with a fail fast, test and learn approach.
Security by Design: ensures compliance of data and security standards understanding K-C's regulations, postures, processes, and procedures and ensuring they get applied consistently.
Customer Satisfaction: Perform customer follow-up and maintain healthy customer satisfaction scores.
Executive Communication: Engage and motivate stakeholder and delivery teams with effective communication to promote a high performing, agile and focused team environment.
Generate Regional/Functional organization and talent: Build DTS talent for DTS KCNA Customer Development and RGM, including creating digital practices and mindset
Required:
Education: A Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of IT experience and relevant functional business and process expertise
Trade Promotions Management: Experience in having designed, guided, and delivered large TPM implementation programs (knowledge of tools like SAP TPM, Exceedra, CAS and Promax added advantage)
Demand Planning: Experience having designed, guided and delivered demand planning processes and/or with integration of Trade and Demand processes is an advantage
Retail Data: Working knowledge of technologies and data used to improve sales planning and execution with emphasis on data & analytic capabilities to drive actionable insight to improve sales and trade planning & evaluation. (Knowledge of retail data such as point of sale and syndicated, 3rd-party merchandiser platforms and capabilities, as well as retailer data and technology platforms such as Walmart RetailLink/Luminate, Amazon Vendor Central and others added advantage)
Revenue Growth Management: Working knowledge of Revenue growth management techniques - all 5 pillars and technology enablers underpinning analytics. (knowledge of tools like Performance analyzer added advantage)
Data Inspired Sales Architecture: Expertise in building and running common, seamless data lake / platform that enables regional self-service and rapid user-friendly analytics capabilities in addition of advanced data modelling and AI/ML enabled predictive analytics (knowledge of platforms like Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Data bricks added advantage)
Proven experience in Agile and Product teams
Proven delivery experience
Experience in systems integration
Experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting delivery teams
