General Summary

This position is responsible for performing complex internal audit work related to information technology operations, compliance, and Sarbanes Oxley by identifying risks and proactively recommending improvements to mitigate risks to ensure that the organization achieves its goals.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Plan and perform complex IT reviews over the Company's infrastructure, platforms, and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate and industry standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security.
  • Assist in evaluating the IT control environment in terms of risk to the organization and provide recommendations for improving the control environment related to policies and procedures, as well as the implementation of system changes or upgrades.
  • Prepare workpapers in accordance with applicable professional standards to support conclusions and to facilitate supervisory review.
  • Identify the root causes of control failures and recommend corrective actions so that controls will operate effectively and as intended.
  • Provide oral and written reports clearly summarizing the scope of work performed and the related findings so that management understands the findings and adopts the recommendations.
  • Assist the team's Leadership in administering the Audit Management Software to manage the audit plan, perform risk assessments, document results of audit procedures, and to facilitate work paper review and reporting.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration or Finance is desired.
  • CISA or CIA certification a plus

Work Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT Audit (either internal or Big 4) or within the IT operations of a company is required
  • Experience in code development or data analytics programs a plus

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to apply the principles, theories, techniques, and practices of professional auditing and apply knowledge of operations and procedures to activities being audited
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and above average academic and analytical skills
  • General knowledge of the COBIT framework and auditing standards

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.   • Moderate travel required, approximately 10% during the year

Base Salary Range:
$66,837.00 - $100,255.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
