The Department of Social Work houses CSWE-accredited BSW and MSW programs.  The MSW program offers a specialization in Empowerment Practice. We are nationally recognized by GraduatePrograms.com as a top 25 MSW program with high rankings in the areas of quality of instruction, career advising, student diversity, and networking opportunities. Major Responsibilities:

  • Teaches 4 courses per semester in the BSW and/or MSW programs.  Provides traditional face-to-face and online instruction.
  • Engages in departmental, college, and university service.
  • Advises undergraduate and graduate students in alignment with departmental needs. 

Employment Conditions:  A nine-month, limited term, full-time appointment at the instructor level. Salary is competitive and dependent on academic qualifications.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution
  • Two or more years of post-MSW professional social work practice experience
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness in online and face-to-face settings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative engagement within the department
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A doctorate degree in social work or a related field 
  • Evidence of successful teaching with online educational technology
