The Instructional Designer and Developer serves as a learning producer, supporting various product learning development programs for a single company and collaborates with within all companies in iOFFICE to collaborate and align to meet brand standards and enhance the customer experience. The Instructional Designer and Developer is technically savvy, curious, and collaborative in nature. As an integral member of the team, this person will establish and consistently deliver standards of learning excellence for customers and internal employees.

This role is responsible for complex curriculum development using multiple delivery modalities that leverage in-house content as well as curated content from outside sources. In this role, you will create new programs as well as redesign and enhance existing offerings for programs that are instructor-led, self-paced, virtual, or a blend of all three in nature. This person will use consultative skills to partner with the business to understand the needs and provide solutions that address the needs. This person will work with all levels of management and employees and must use interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and listening skills. This person will manage complex projects and to develop innovative, creative ideas to address complex training-related problems, concerns, and programs.

  • Support the design, development and deployment of digital transformation curricula, for product training for customers and internal teams
  • Partner with SMEs to provide consultation, design and development support that educates and upskills others throughout the organization on our product
  • Responsible for the entire training development cycle, end-to-end, for large-scale training programs, and independently partner with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders as a consultant to identify learning needs, measurable objectives, and desired outcomes
  • Design/develop and recommend learning solutions to support business needs and program manage entire learning program
  • Ensure successful hand-off of completed training programs to the facilitation team for delivery, including a content walkthrough session
  • Create learning strategies that incorporate mobile and social learning, and interactive learning solutions as part of the learning programs
  • Develop various content and blended learning solutions which may include scenarios, simulations, knowledge checks, mobile learning, evaluations, facilitator/participant guides, presentation decks, toolkits, podcasts, articles, action plans, job aids, role plays, videos, games, books, case studies, tests, micro learnings, etc.
  • Act as a content curator, ensuring learning content is up to date, easily accessible, applicable and in a format that appeals to learners
  • Create training material content that is clear, accurate, consistent, of high quality, follows brand guidelines and aligns with the product release schedule
  • Perform detailed testing for all learning solutions for instructional soundness, interactive design, and functionality
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning programs and makes revisions accordingly
  • Provide/create tools that make continuous learning possible within the organization
  • Serve as an SME and teacher to other training specialists to help and develop technical content
Preferred:
  • Create written content for the knowledge base for new feature releases and update existing content as needed.
  • Peer review written content as needed.
