Overview

i3 is seeking a HUMINT (DATC) Instructor to be located in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. The Defense Advanced Tradecraft Course (DATC) Instructor will provide basic and advance source operations training to Human Intelligence (HUMINT) personnel in support of the HUMINT Training Joint Center of Excellence (HT-JCOE). Candidate will collaborate with other instructors and curriculum designers to ensure students receive the most accurate and up-to-date training possible. The selected candidate will present classroom instruction for each assigned lesson, write and revise lesson plans as necessary, act as a faculty advisor, role player, and perform administrative, operational, and training functions related to the conduct of the course.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other instructors and curriculum designer to ensure students receive the most accurate and up-to-date training possible.
• Review, rehearse, and conduct platform instruction for various sized classes.
• Deploy and conduct field training in various environments.
• Evaluate student learning through observation and metric-specific testing (may be oral, written, or demonstrative).
• Record student's performance in accordance with client reporting standards.
• Serve as an instructor, mentor, an evaluator for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Six years of source operations experience, with a minimum of two year of Military Source Operations (MSO) CAT 1 operational experience.
• Completion of one of the following HUMINT certification/training courses (OTC, FTC, MOTC, DATC, ASOC, ASOTC).
• Experience successfully serving as Chief of Station, Chief of Base, or Detachment/OB Chief or FTC/OTC instructor for a minimum of two years.
• Experience successfully serving in the Intelligence Community as a Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO), Chief of Operations, Operating Location Chief or OTC or (Legacy course) certified officer with at least three tours conducting controlled operations (minimum 6 month tours).
• Able to drive a motor vehicle for up to five hours without assistance; valid civilian driver license.
• Physically capable of sustained walking without a break for five miles over uneven terrain, and in inclement weather.
• Able to understand and communicate discreetly during one-on-one conversations in public venues without attracting undue attention.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.
• Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
