Human Resources Planning Analyst

The HR Planning Analyst will support the advancement of HR commitments by driving strategic initiatives. The incumbent will directly report to the Manager of HR Strategic Planning and will work with all Human Resource functions and with other departments in the company to support successful completion of objectives.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recommends improvements to internal strategy, processes, and workflows.
  • Partners with Human Resources Centers of Excellence to drive departmental initiatives.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), employee surveys, exit interviews, and other sources.
  • Maintains relevant HR strategic reports, audits report data, and provides data as needed.
  • Makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
  • Maintains flexibility and accountability in support of multiple initiatives and/or projects.
  • Conducts internal and external research and analysis to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Creates and maintains project dashboards.
  • Assists with policy writing/revision, audits, and RFPs.
  • Prepares work plans, project plans, status updates, and reports for key initiatives/projects.
  • Establishes excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in related field or three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. PHR or equivalent preferred.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Broad working knowledge of HR functions and processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and systematically gather relevant information; see root causes for issues and make corrections.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate with others in a professional environment.
  • Must have strong attention-to-detail.
  • Must be able to organize work to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and across the organization to make appropriate decisions.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment with demanding turnaround times.
  • Must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • For roles located in office or home settings; this job is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions; the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear.
  • For roles located in the field; this job is primarily active; the employee is regularly mobile and must be able to utilize transportation (such as driving), sit, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift objects (up to 10 lbs. weight; up to 4 ft. height).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to see things from a close distance and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment utilizes florescent lighting; noise level is moderate.
  • The emotional demand of the job may cause undue stress from, but not limited to, moderate/heavy workload.
