Role description:
Payroll and HR Data Analyst provides analytical and technical support for Payroll and HR systems and initiatives. This includes identifying trends, streamlining processes and leading audit requests.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of payroll tax and garnishments
- Lead data audits across the payroll system including other inputs and outputs of that system
- Compile data for requests across HR functions
- Reviews and analyse data, setups, and reporting to ensure data is accurately capture and reported
- Work with stakeholders to develop and streamline processes to confirm data validity and maintain data integrity
- Ensure SOX compliance by supporting internal and external auditor requests
- Test systems and assist as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to employees, HR team, business functions, and external customers, providing timely and complete responses and follow-up to questions and information requests
- Assist with special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum skills / qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, human resources, information systems, or a related field
- Five (5) years of Data Analytics experience
- Proven experience in SOX audit/compliance
- Ability to proactively identify problems and take steps to solve issues and updated processes as needed.
- Experience with time and attendance and HRIS
- Customer-centric focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose and deliver communication materials to all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task and manage day to day job duties while also completing special projects on time and accurately
- Effective technical skills required Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (emphasis on Excel proficiency - v-lookups, and pivot tables)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred skills / qualifications: - Prior experience in with Payroll, Payroll Tax or 401k
- Experience with continuous improvement concepts or methodologies
- Experience with PeopleSoft, ADP WFN/Vantage/Global View, and Kronos
- Zendesk or other ticket management experience
