Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an  Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric lymphoma and leukemia. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified (not board-eligible) in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction of medical students, residents, post-doctoral fellows, instructors, and/or clinical research assistants.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care focused on children, adolescents, and young adults with hematologic malignancies at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and active involvement in fellowship training and mentoring. The ideal candidate should have clinical interest in and will develop further specific expertise in the care of pediatric patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma or with high-risk leukemia. This position is not intended for applicants with primary clinical interests in cell therapy or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The candidate must have at least two years of experience as an attending physician after completion of fellowship training.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include expanding translational and clinical research efforts in pediatric hematologic malignancies. The successful applicant will be academically productive, collaborative, and able to expand our already robust research enterprise. The successful candidate must have an established record of peer-reviewed scholarship and will be encouraged to pursue independent research funding within three years of appointment.
