Position Overview:

The Health Care Consultant Intern will work directly under the supervision of members of the Consulting Services Engagement Team and will provide outstanding service to internal and external clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct literature review and research topics assigned
  • Develop and present clear, comprehensive, and cohesive summaries of findings from research conducted
  • Perform analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and accurately convert into useable information
  • Possess and apply a solid understanding of the health care landscape
  • Respond to inquiries and requests timely and efficiently
  • Professional in appearance and manner
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
  • Intern must be working toward or recently completed a Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Services Administration, or related fieldMaster's degree
  • Strong knowledge of the health care industry with Medicaid knowledge preferred
  • Proficient user of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Submission of a writing sample will be required prior to job offer
The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the intern will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers and will be assigned a team member as a Peer Contact.

Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
