Our G eographic I nformation S ystems Analyst will support complex projects for our diverse leading with energy business groups. The Analyst will design and deliver geospatial and data visualization solutions for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making to fulfill business objectives. This position will involve working with clients to gather and analyze business requirements; determine data needs (both internal and external); develop implementation strategies; use analytical tools to create and deliver solutions; and develop, monitor, and review actionable metrics, dashboards, and analytics products that enable clients to make data-informed decisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Data Science, Statistics, Geography, or a related field.

Experience: 4+ years of experience in consulting and business analysis to develop well-organized and insightful reports, dashboards, and other forms of geospatial data visualizations in support of strategic, tactical, and operational business decisions.

  • Experience using ArcGIS Pro to perform geospatial analysis.
  • Experience developing scripts using python libraries (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas, GeoPy, etc.) to develop automated data pipelines to support dashboards, data visualizations, and geospatial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating ArcGIS Online, managing and sharing spatial data, and publishing various types of layers.
  • Ability to design and configure Experience Builder/Dashboards with interactive widgets that provide insights and facilitate data exploration.
  • Experience with dashboard development/business intelligence tools such as MS Power BI and Tableau.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing business needs, extracting and refining requirements from clients, and drawing conclusions from quantitative and qualitative analyses to develop business solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and maintain schedules and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.


Travel: 0-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works closely with clients and key stakeholders to establish geospatial/data visualization capabilities that support user/stakeholder needs.
  • Leverages a variety of input sources (e.g., databases, flat files, custom applications) to populate geospatial solutions that drive better decision-making and prioritization within the organization.
  • Extracts, transforms, and loads data using tools such as SQL, Informatica, SSIS, etc.
  • Supports data integrity, data quality, and audit efforts as needed.
  • Designs and builds operational reports/dashboards using tools such as ArcGIS Pro to support more efficient reporting, analyzing, planning, and forecasting.
  • Translates metrics and technical concepts into easily understood information.
  • Manages data in analytic platforms and business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes issues within reports.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of data assets, policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
