Job Description Summary:
PayPal is seeking a Global FP&A Technology and Systems System Solutions Leader to join the Corporate Finance team, which works directly with FP&A, internal business units, product, and finance groups to deliver budgeting, planning and reporting solutions. This role is part of the Corporate Finance organization and works as a strategic advisor to help FP&A deliver business goals by providing solutions that include automation, data and technology considerations.

The position is part of the Finance Transformation program. This position is responsible for establishing and aligning the requirements from finance and business leaders to the capabilities of our FP&A systems, in partnership with the IT organization. The role:

a)requires high level of expertise in collecting business requirements, translating those requirements into system specifications and communicating them effectively with the IT organization, who is responsible for the service delivery;
b)operates in a matrixed model with stakeholders and customers across Finance, Technology, Engineering, Product and Data teams across the global organization, and
c)requires working across multiple systems and platforms in order to produce consolidated financial management results and reports, financial plans and forecasts, data analytics, and overall information requirements for effective decision making.

The key focus of this role is to enable PayPal's FP&A function to optimize the systems solutions, delivering accurate and timely information for decision making in line with standards and guidelines. In doing so, improve automation, data analytics and visualization.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports FP&A business & technology run the business activities and key initiatives including prioritization, planning, budgeting coordination, and execution.
  • Establishing the business requirements and priorities in all aspects relating to the FP&A systems. In particular systems that support planning, forecasting, opex planning and workforce planning.
  • Translating, communicating, and working in close partnership with the IT organization on how best to deliver those requirements, in terms of data management, service delivery, technology, etc. In simple terms, the roles is meant to be a liaison between the FP&A function and IT, with empowerment to drive decision making and responsibility to create accountability for execution.
  • Actively leading on the enhancement of the FP&A systems roadmap, focusing on aligning data structures, delivering system and data enhancements, and evolving the reporting and analytics landscape with the phased roll-out of meaningful reporting.
  • Provide support for data, technology, and product solutions to identify sustainable treasury capabilities and treasury operations.
  • Serve as liaison with internal technology, engineering, product, and risk/compliance stakeholders to support Enterprise initiatives and to develop support for treasury technology initiatives.
  • Perform periodic analysis of current treasury technology capabilities and maintain a multi-year roadmap to drive scale and efficiency.
  • Drive systems harmonization where required and leverage the existing platforms to drive simplification and efficiency.
  • Accountable for Initiating and driving continuous improvement projects and/ or support ad-hoc projects and critical initiatives in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate long-term relationships with broad sets of partners and colleagues. Skilled in documenting treasury technology requirements that are engineering ready.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to demonstrate the current system capabilities and easily aggregate and analyze complex information into a concise, clear summary for your audience
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects, and focus efforts on key priorities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Previous experience in leading projects, service delivery or FP&A processes in large scale and matrixed organizations and/ or extensive FP&A experience supporting Business Units/ Regional Units.
  • Strong operational capability, with ability to manage projects, timelines and budgets, effective customer management skills.
  • Highly collaborative, strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional team experience; ability to lead and influence within a matrix.
  • Demonstrate agile thinking by easily shifting between business-focused conversations with a financial leader to a technology-focused conversation with a technology team.
  • Ability to deliver executive level updates, and determine when to escalate to management and identify the right stakeholders for decision making.
  • Critically analyze and assess the adequacy of internal controls and opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle
  • Ability to work globally and cross-functionally to lead change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through.
  • Affinity for a high-performance, project-oriented work environment
  • Team oriented individual and self-starter who excels at learning new processes and business functions.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with a strong ability to clearly communicate via PowerPoint documents and present information to all levels of management.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is
$118700 to $246290
