BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Helpdesk Technician

Position: Field Support Technician

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 3 months

Manages the onsite delivering of software services, installation and configuration for customer environments. The job solves various business systems, networking and applications problems for standard industry servers, specialized or complex clustered environments. Deliver reactive and proactive activities according to Service Level Agreement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Applies basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks. Good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Organizes own tasks and receives general instructions on all work. Education: Associates, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3 to 4 years.

Generic items:

  • Provides on-site field support to customers including installation, and servicing and repairing of systems and equipment.
  • Answers customer questions and resolves issues. Refers other issues/questions to appropriate personnel/service area/manager for follow up, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assists in instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of systems/equipment.
    Acts as a liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.

    Qualities\Skills:
  • Well organized\Impeccable Time Management and process oriented in order to adhere to standard practices and procedures to produce deliverables within SLAs.
  • Effective Communicator that is flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment that sets expectations and caters to the needs of demanding clients.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting HW Issues - Desktops, Laptops, Networking, VOIP Phones, Monitors, etc
  • Proficient in supporting \ troubleshooting various applications running on Windows 7/10 OS.. ie MS Office Suite, Web-based, Proprietary apps etc.
  • Ability to work with remote clients (via phone, instant message) as well as those that are onsite (face to face)

    Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two or more years of field support experience
  • Experience working with the company's hardware, software and equipment products
  • Experience working with customer technology and support requirements
  • Experience working with process and/or system design concepts
  • Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
