Job Purpose/Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the company grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workplace is safe, functional, and in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations throughout the Braun Intertec Network. This is a full time, exempt position reporting to the Sourcing and Asset Management leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Overall

  • Self directs, problem solves and finds the information needed to finish assigned projects
  • Prepares expense reports and codes invoices in adherence with company policies and deadlines
  • Works closely with operations and facilities team to manage projects and resource flow
  • Manages building operations to support the organization
  • Provides leadership in coordinating office space and equipment operation and maintenance and maintains relations with vendors
  • Drives consistency throughout organization by leveraging common suppliers and standards in sourcing activities, including both indirect and capital purchases
  • Drive cost savings and efficiency throughout the organization
  • Work closely with other members of the Sourcing and Asset Management team to manage project and workflows including backing up critical job functions of other team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Corporate Headquarters

  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for relevant stakeholders
  • Preparing facility for changing weather conditions
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facility needs
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with vendors and stakeholders

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma is required
  • College degree or 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong Project Management/organizational skills with attention to detail, people, systems and processes
  • Displays excellent communication skills, including presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
  • Works independently and handles multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Must have the ability to operate MS Office Suite
  • Must have the ability to interface with ERP programs in support of invoicing and accounting functions
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision, in addition to being flexible in stressful peak times

Duties of this position require an individual to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The individual may be required to sit for extended periods of time, but must have the capability to walk and move. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
