On the most beautiful college campus in the country, SMU Mustangs are energized by unbridled opportunities – from teaching, learning and research to creativity, performance and athletic endeavor.About the Position:This position will have responsibilities to provide financial and accounting support to the Office of Facilities Planning and Management.  This will include, but limited to, monitoring and processing of construction / facilities - related contractual pay applications and invoices, cash flow projections, preparation of capital funding and the university's facilities related reserves reports, and auditing of construction projects to assist with close out and funding. Essential Functions:

    Monitoring and processing of construction / facilities - related contractual pay applications and invoices.Preparation of monthly capital funding reports and the university's facilities related reserves.Auditing of construction projects to assist with close out and funding.Preparation of monthly cash flow projections.Assist with special projects and associated reports.


Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience is required. Candidate with construction and/or facilities experience with emphasis on project accounting and financial reporting preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Candidate with experience in Capital Improvement Program Management Software (i.e. e-Builder), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Integrated Workplace Management (IWMS, i.e. Planon), PeopleSoft Financials is preferred. Candidatemust demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.  Physical and Environmental Demands:
