SUMMARY

Export Ground Logistics agent is responsible to ensure the ground logistics freight from UPS, Amazon, FEDEX, and other ground deliveries are received, consolidated, and processed accordingly. The ensuring system is processed labeling and staging. As well as system data entry, paperwork processing, email correspondence, and customer contact.

Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude the following but are limited to:

  • Offload freight from all types of vehicles such as trailers, box trucks, and so forth.
  • Must be able to lift to 90 lbs.
  • Weigh freight
  • Take dimensions
  • Generate the warehouse receipt for the shipment
  • Enter all information in the system
  • Affix the labels
  • Hold freight
  • Make a necessary notation in the system
  • Emailing external and internal customers
  • Consolidate shipments as per customer request and shipment requirements
  • Stage freight according to destination
  • Re-tape and shrink wrap packages
  • Process internal reports on Excel
  • Process airbills and supporting paperwork
  • Enter shipments into the system for flight and billing
  • Hazardous material awareness
  • Knowledge of door to door services and other services we offer
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job performance Standard

  • Must attain established work standards of quantity and quality on a consistent basis by process or function
  • Must meet or exceed work attendance standards as established in the company's employee manual
  • Consistently follows company policies and procedures (including Governmental and safety), and departmental standard operating procedures
  • Initiates contact with the internal or external customers when its shipments will be delayed or re-routed due to operational constraints and provide acceptable alternatives
  • Presents a Pleasants and positive attitude when responding to inquiries and soliciting additional mail.
  • Maintains direct contact with the internal and external customers until the fulfillment of their requests.
  • Maintains real-time knowledge of the company's products, services, rates, and operational circumstances relating to the handling of mail.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Educations and/or experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum three years' experience in a related capacity and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience in Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets, and Adobe.

Language Skills

  • Ability to write reports, interpret, understand reports and procedure manuals. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers. Multilingual skills are a plus.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
