About the Position

Pond is currently placing an Estimator to join the Industrial Group, located in our Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters facility. We are looking for energetic, responsive individuals to complement our growth-oriented firm. Estimators are responsible for a ssisting the estimating team in the preparation of bids and proposals under the supervision of a Senior or Chief Estimator. Shows an enthusiastic willingness to learn.

Knowledge and Responsibilities

• Understands and utilizes Pond's estimating manuals, systems and forms.
• Performs quantity take-off of necessary items.
• Gives quantities of major purchase items to Estimator III or Sr. Estimator and assists with pricing.
• Bid document control.
• Performs bid day assignments.
• Visits job sites when required.
• Develops relationships with engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Completes assigned work on time and within budget.
• Works with minimal supervision; is self-motivated and has initiative.
• May be required to work after typical hours as project requirements and company needs dictate.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
