The Stanford Libraries seeks an innovative, collaborative, dynamic, outgoing and service-oriented Engineering Librarian to provide outstanding research, instruction, and collection services to the School of Engineering and other allied Programs and Departments. About the Position:
The Engineering Librarian for Data and Collections will report to the Head of Terman Engineering Library. This position provides strong interdisciplinary support for faculty and students in the School of Engineering, its Departments and Institutes, Labs and Centers. As a member of an interdisciplinary team of science and engineering librarians in the Science and Engineering Resource Group (SERG), the Data and Collections Librarian is responsible for assessing, acquiring, and managing collections for the Engineering Library to support research and instruction in a highly interdisciplinary environment. This position will also work with researchers to identify, curate, manage, and make accessible data that is relevant to engineering research in all its stages. This position will have the opportunity to impact the future of library services for the Stanford engineering community, and is especially geared towards librarians with interests and/or experiences in engineering/scientific information, collection development, scholarly communication and research data management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
·Advanced degree in information science, library science, engineering, or a related discipline. College-level coursework or relevant work experience in an engineering discipline or related field preferred. Three or more years of experience in an academic library, or similar expertise dealing with information mediation.

The expected pay range for this position at the Librarian 2 level is $85,000 - $106,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
