End User Technical Support Specialist

As an End User Technical Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations for Vertiv employees. You'll handle a variety of tasks related to end-user computing, including troubleshooting issues, providing hands-on support, and maintaining confidentiality. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-level user support for incidents that require local resolution and cannot be resolved by the Service Desk.
  • Offer hands-on support for IT project implementations.
  • Assist the Platform Service team with local backup operations in line with corporate policies.
  • Install and configure hardware and software according to corporate guidelines.
  • Support PC replacement programs and emergency exchanges.
  • Resolve technical challenges faced by internal customers.
  • Maintain confidentiality for all conversations, documents, correspondence, research records, and data.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in MS Windows desktop operating system deployment.
  • Proficiency with LANDesk, SCCM (or other software distribution tools).
  • Mobile Device Management experience.
  • Windows 10 familiarity is advantageous.
  • Apple Mac deployment and support experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Network Infrastructure Principles and Security Principles.
  • ITIL v3 certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating System Deployment, User State Migration Tool (USMT), Desktop-related Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Software Distribution and Patch Management tools.
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell and VBScript.
  • Understanding of desktop and application virtualization.
  • Experience using ITSM systems like ServiceNow is beneficial.
  • Availability for off-hours and on-call shifts as required.
