RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead implementation of environmental, health, safety, and security programs.
  • Work closely with the Operations leadership team to build a positive safety and environmental stewardship culture.
  • Lead implementation of the Target Zero safety program and Behavior-Based Safety practices at all locations.
  • Coordinate monthly safety and DOT / hazardous materials training for all manufacturing and warehouse employees.
  • Ensure that corporate EHS procedures are followed. Examples include Lockout-Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Incident Reporting, and waste management procedures.
  • Prepare monthly EHS KPIs, and lead resource conservation programs, ranging from water and energy use to implementing best-practices for minimizing wastewater and solid waste.
  • Manage the EHS Scorecard process, which involves monthly measurement of site KPIs and issuance of a monthly scorecard to each site leader.
  • Support integration of new businesses / locations / products. This work involves EHS reviews of new raw materials and formulas, and transitioning new employees to the corporate EHS program.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent teamwork skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as an EHS professional, including serving as a facility lead for safety and environmental compliance. Chemical industry experience preferred.
  • Experience completing Tier II, TRI, RCRA reports, OSHA logs, and other similar requirements.
  • Ability to walk frequently, climb stairs and work in an industrial environment.

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or similar technical field.
