Physical Requirements:

This position may require sitting and/or standing at a workstation for extended periods of time performing repetitive motions such as typing. Report to meetings at different locations both on campus and off campus; travel outside the local area for training; and work successfully with a team and independently.

Shift:

The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required as needed to perform job duties.

Job Summary:

The EHR Pharmacist will be responsible for executing the system development life cycle (SDLC) of a new electronic health record. This includes but is not limited to, conducting the EHR system build, system configuration, and support the workflow design. This role will develop and maintain documentation in accordance with service management standards, policies, and procedures of the business. The EHR Pharmacist will review and understand system configuration in vendor specifications and make recommendations on build based on clinical and operational content knowledge. This role will work with other clinical teams to determine which of those applications can integrate Pharmacy workflows. The EHR Pharmacist will ensure that both medication management safety standards and clinical decision support algorithms are in place as well as address an overarching medication safety approach. Pharmacists will actively participate in all phases and activities related to their scope of work within the SDLC. This role will execute a quality management plan tailored to the specific area of responsibility. This role will participate in operational and integrated workgroups to assess user feedback, gather requirements for configuration, and review / audit system build. The Pharmacist will meet regularly with team members and project leadership to discuss the status of deliverables, issues, change communications and updates. Pharmacists will conduct peer review of the work product and troubleshoot problems and questions to maintain a defect-free environment. Pharmacists will collaborate with end-users, vendor representatives, project leadership, and other teams to ensure the design, build, and implementation is successful and meets the needs of the business.

This is a hybrid position remote work and on-campus attendance expected.

Preferred Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a PharmD with 3-5 years' experience in health care or Information Technology preferred. Licensed Pharmacist.
