EXPANSIA is looking for a Cloud Project Administrator to support our customer to provide a common set of required EIT services across 187 bases to implement a consistent, high-quality experience for users across all mission environments and enable USAF to transition focus from network operations to mission operations.

As a Cloud Project Administrator, you will operate and maintain an Azure based enterprise platform for the Dept. of the Air Force; mentor junior employees, provide technical cross-training/coaching to convey concepts and to provide guidance as needed. You will work independently or on very small teams to integrate systems and solutions, triage issues, and prioritize tasks.

You will be responsible for the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches, and resolution of software related problems. You will perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.

You will communicate with executive leadership, present, answer questions, proactively communicate and resolve issues.

You will work with your manager to understand requirements, priorities, and objectives to ensure work supports the larger capabilities and direction of the overall solution. This includes participation in Planning, Backlog refinement and prioritization, and Retrospectives. You will participate in the full life cycle of activities including deployment and validation efforts to ensure product success and will follow all established processes and standards.

You will be responsible for managing cloud workloads in the day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for performing various tasks such as planning, designing, managing, supporting, and maintaining cloud computing-related activities.

The proposed salary range for this position is $105,000 - $138,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations and Management: Install and update servers with new software and patches.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning: Manage all the hardware and software required for using cloud-based services.
  • Deploy and manage cloud resources and infrastructure components using automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Terraform.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability. Identify and address performance bottlenecks and resource utilization issues.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and templates to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to track the health and performance of cloud resources. Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect data and applications hosted in the cloud.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators, to support application development and deployment.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and operational processes and procedures.
  • Ownership: This is a Senior Position within the Program and requires multiple years of relevant experience. It is expected that you work with minimal supervision, are a self-starter and capable of defining and managing your individual tasks and have strong communication skills for partnering and communicating across internal teams to maximize efficiency and success of assigned tasks.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Years of Experience: 15 years of relevant experience required.
  • Clearance: Active secret clearance required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field required

KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Experience in network architecture and engineering in a commercial cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Azure is preferred to AWS.
  • 8+ years' experience working as an AWS administrator building and maintaining secure AWS environments. In-depth knowledge of AWS technologies, principles, and best practices.
  • 8+ years' cumulative experience with systems administration in Linux environments (RHCE equivalence) or Windows Server environments.
  • 5+ years' experience with STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions
  • 5+ years' experience integrating, securing, and understanding the following Microsoft platform services (both in Windows OS and in Azure Cloud): Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Windows AD-integrated PKI, Single Sign On (SSO) implementation
  • 5+ years' hands-on experience creating, analyzing, and automating Linux scripts (Command, Bash, C, Ansible) - basically you need to know how to connect things for automation needs
  • 5+ years' experience with network devices, integrations, and concepts such as VPN, firewall, routing
  • 3+ years' experience implementing and securing services relating to remote connections
  • 3+ years' experience integrating/understanding Multi-factor authentication (MFA, 2MFA)
  • System admin level understanding of Windows server/ADFS environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work well under pressure
  • Azure Certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Security + or IAT Level II or greater required.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Current certifications for CISSP, CCNA, CCNP
