Having been in business over 100 years, this construction firm is a family-owned fourth generation business that has a solid reputation and foothold in the New York interiors, millwork, drywall, and core and shell market. They are growing year-on-year and have a very healthy project portfolio with annual revenues in excess of $200MM.

Your new role

They are seeking a Drywall Estimator to join their construction estimating team whose main responsibility will be to generate pricing estimates for large-scale, multi-million dollar high-rise projects in the tri-state area.

Your responsibilities would include the following:

• Breaking down scopes, reading blueprints / design drawings
• Generate detailed quantity takeoff using OST (Quick-bid would also be a Plus)
• Act as liaison with the contractor and visit the job-site for pre-bid inspection
• Generate RFIs as needed
• Formulate pricing using labor production and material price
• Prepare and review bids and follow up with GC
• Track bids and other data
• Provide value engineering if needed
• Communicate with field personnel and suppliers as needed

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful as a Drywall Estimator, this individual will come from a millwork, drywall construction background having experience working in either a subcontractor or general contractor to date. This individual will have in the region of 5-8 years' experience, have experience using On-Screen Take-Off and Quick-Bid and pricing specifically for high-rise multi floor commercial construction drywall projects throughout the tri-state area.
