Position Summary

The Dexcom Health Solutions Team vision is to expand access to Dexcom CGM, primarily for those with T2 diabetes and drive CGM adoption, via diabetes management programs and other commercial channels.

In this role, the director of Product Management for Health Solutions will lead a team of product management professionals and define the strategy, roadmap and partner portfolio for Dexcom Health Solutions. She or he will work closely with the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, build strong relationships with partners/customers and be an energetic champion for the Health Solutions Team.

Experience with world-class product management tools and techniques, and demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities will be equally important for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Upstream Marketing - Product Management
    • Establish product strategy, vision and product roadmap
    • Develop and maintain deep, intimate knowledge about Dexcom customers (Patients, Caregivers, Clinicians, Payers), competitors and value drivers for Dexcom
    • Define and lead market research and other discovery activities to uncover valuable unmet needs
    • Ensure Partner System Features, Functions and User Experience are consistent/ideal for Dexcom customers - from scoping through development and technical integration
    • Manage discipline around measurement and reporting of success, including Key Performance Indicators, for each product.
    • Apply disciplined business analysis and strategy to ensure that we focused on the most important opportunities

Partner Identification and Relationship Management

      • Partner Agreements - take lead on applicable terms
      • Work closely with Commercial Operations to ensure alignment across internal business processes - Partner training, order to cash processing, tech support, reimbursement/market access, data integration, etc
      • Responsible for driving revenue through Partnerships and Customer Agreements, in close collaboration with the Sales Team

Commercialization, Post-launch and Sustaining

  • Works on abstract issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional or company operations.

Leadership

    • Lead, coach and manage a team of Product Managers to achieve the goals above, and to be the internal subject matter experts on their product
    • Ensure internal and external cross-functional alignment on goals, strategies and tactics
    • Represent Dexcom Health Program business to Dexcom and Partner Executive and Senior Leadership Teams

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 15+ years of industry experience.
  • 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry.
  • Conceived, developed, launched and managed technical, consumer-facing products (medical devices, apps and/or software).
  • Made repeated, high quality, fact-based decisions to drive product enhancements through user testing, data analysis, and testing.
  • Refined business acumen that ties detailed analysis to larger strategy.
  • Skilled communicator who develops strong working relationships across a broad cross-section of stakeholders and partners.
  • Skilled at planning, time management, and agility to lead others through change.
  • Shown an instinct for end-users' unarticulated needs.
  • Hired, led and mentored a group of product managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in diabetes, health care and health care reimbursement strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of Health Systems and IDNs strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data enabled products, analytics, and AI preferred, but not required.
