The Director of Marketing Direct Mail & Segmentation is primarily responsible for developing a strategy for evaluation, planning and execution of the direct mail program, including acquisition and existing customer direct mail, in support of company objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Plan and manage operational support for the design and production of all direct mail communications including:
    • Targeting strategy and development
    • Data/List segmentation strategy
    • Budget planning and financial tracking
    • Message development and testing
    • Campaign results analysis
    • Creative/design development
    • Vendor management
  • Develop and manage the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns among direct mail, social, digital, and broadcast
  • Build strong relationships with all internal and external partners to achieve departmental objectives in support of business objectives
  • Develop strategies to maximize internal operations by streamlining work processes, utilizing technology as appropriate, and implementing best practices
  • Serve as WOW!s direct marketing subject matter expert by keeping abreast of industry best practice
  • Recommend to WOW!'s leadership and provide financial justification for annual budget; manage program financials
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs and ROI by analyzing customer data and figures
  • Develop and implement new testing of targets, formats, and frequency opportunities for optimal return on the direct mail program
  • Coach, develop and mentor direct reports
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of records and timely progress reports.

What we're looking for:

Education:
  • Four-year college degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

Experience/Skills Needed:
  • At least 7+ years direct response experience and experience managing supplier partners; agency experience is a plus
  • 3+ years of Direct Mail management/leadership experience
  • Ability to establish primary and secondary KPIs, understand campaign and tactical performance, and optimize campaigns and strategy based on results
  • Demonstrated subject-matter expertise
  • Proven leadership skills and a strategic mindset
  • Independent and effective decision making skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to WOW!s mission
  • Excellent project management and vendor management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team
  • Strong analytical skills and able to review and interpret data, budgets, etc.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software (CRM) is a plus

Computer Skills:
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet software, email

The minimum base pay salary for this position is $118,000. Salary may be negotiable based on experience. The minimum salary does not include any other pay elements in which this position may be eligible.
