The Director of Food Manufacturing Technology will be responsible for the management, support, and
technical expertise to support Ferrara's sugar manufacturing sites. They will be responsible to help
troubleshoot, set-up, and design systems used in Ferrara's sugar manufacturing processes.

Ways you will make a difference

• Provides technical guidance and "bridges the gap" to scale up equipment and processes used
between R&D and engineering
• Assists engineering with vetting out new technologies as they are introduced to manufacturing
• Attends global development meetings, trade shows, and testing events with key OEM partners
• Assists engineering and operations with major project start-ups
• Develops training documents used to assist operations with new technologies and provides
hands-on training sessions as needed
• Participates in project review sessions ahead of project approval and during drawing review
process and installation
• Facilitates knowledge transfer of heritage equipment and processes to new operations
associates and engineers
• Stays current on food manufacturing technology and how it applies to the Ferrara long term
business strategy
• Provides key inputs into OEM equipment selection
• Understands and demonstrates the Company's core values
• Conducts assigned work in a safe manner and adheres to Ferrara safety methods
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to travel 20%, mainly in the US and Mexico, with some international travel to support

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering is preferred, however, Previous industry experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • Minimum of 25 years of CPG/Food industry experience with at least 15 years in confections
  • Experience with food manufacturing equipment, both processing and packaging CPG/Food manufacturing experience is required, with a strong focus on sugar confections
  • Strong "hands-on" mechanical/electrical/controls aptitude from previous industry experience
  • Previous experience dealing with multiple equipment vendors simultaneously
