EMD Electronics in San Jose, CA is hiring a Device Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for electrical characterization and device understanding to develop electronic device solutions.

Responsibilities:

Use device characterization experience to build specific e-test protocols for different technologies under scoping to meet customer device specificationsHelp in building physical understanding to explain e-test results and optimize device stack/architecture accordinglyCollaborate actively with process engineers and integration team to improve yield and process uniformity and solve critical issues related to device integrationManage data pipelines and databases and keep track of device/integration run sheetsWork closely with other process integration, materials, and hardware engineers to timely execute critical activities and act as team player

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science or other Engineering or Scientific field2+ years of experience in electrical test tools, scripting of measurements, and data processing

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science or other Science Engineering fieldExperience in device integration and electrical/physical characterization of semiconductor devicesIn-depth knowledge of standard electrical test methods and procedures to measure fundamental properties of semiconductor devicesIn-depth knowledge of device physics (e.g., CMOS, FLASH, emerging non-volatile memory technologies)Proven experience of work on device integration and product development (e.g. test vehicle development experience)Proven hands-on lab experience with design of e-test experiments, scripting and troubleshootingProblem solving attitude and strong teamwork skills for the development of leading-edge solutions in collaborative development partnershipsAbility to operate electrical and/or physical characterization equipmentSelf-motivated, excellent written and oral communication skillsExperience in customer interaction Ability to work in clean room environment Pay Range for this position - $49,500 - $148,900 Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role, and are derived from relevant industry market data.
