Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Hopital Development Officer is to expand upon the strategic fundraising plan to support the mission of the WellStar
Health System through a focus on major and planned gifts, with an aim of $10,000+ per gift. The position will maintain a portfolio of prospects and will adhere to all development processes and standards of the office. Reporting to, the Director of Strategic Giving, this position is expected to manage a portfolio of medium - high net worth individuals, corporations and foundations to achieve gifts for key institutional priorities.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in development, communication, business administration, marketing,
    non-profit management or related field,

Required Minimum Experience
  • three to five years fundraising experience. Experience with healthcare fundraising preferred.

Required Minimum Skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills working with multiple audiences including but not limited to internal leadership, staff, community donors, physicians and volunteers.
