- Experience: Minimum 6 months as a Dental Assistant after graduation.
- Degree: Certificate - Accredited program.

Education: Successful completion of one of the following:
- Certificate or Associate Degree as a dental assistant/technician from a CODA-accredited program.
- Certification from a military dental technician or dental assistant school.
- Certification from a Red Cross Dental Assistant course.
- Membership in good standing with the American Association of Dental Assistants.
- Graduation from a state-accredited program for dental assistants or dental technology within the preceding 12 months.
- All training must have included a course in various aspects of radiography.
- Certification: Actively Certified in Radiography.
- Additional Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider course or an equivalent course based on published national guidelines.
