POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Responsible for facilitating the S&OP process with direct responsibility for the Demand Review. Collaboratively working with Sales and Customers to develop the best demand plan to drive supply planning. Responsible for preparing key analysis with Business Intelligence information, sales & customer information, pricing, and other information that builds the assumptions for developing the best forecast (least forecast error). Utilize these forecasts to work with Supply Chain and Sales to establish a balanced Supply/Demand plan for the organization.

Responsible for preparing key analysis with Business Intelligence information, sales & customer information, pricing, and other information that builds the assumptions for developing the best forecast (least forecast error). Utilize these forecasts to work with Supply Chain and Sales to establish a balanced Supply/Demand plan for the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Collaborate with Sales and customers to obtain and assess customer supplied forecasts, promotional information, scheduled trials, sales history and other relevant demand planning inputs to develop a monthly consensus forecast. Support the argument for a specific Consensus forecast with effective analysis of factors external to any statistical model.
- Ensure monthly/quarterly/yearly demand plans are consistent with Sales and Marketing input.
- Work closely with Sales to develop key input of sales forecasts, customer forecasts and firm orders in developing final demand plans.
- Develop analysis to improve forecasts that include factors outside the forecasting system such as, pricing, customer events, customer forecasts, and competitive actions.
- Develop and report key forecasting process metrics including forecast error, trend analysis, and other demand behaviors for the statistical, sales, and customer forecasts.
- Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by organizing the statistical, sales, and customer forecasts and related analysis for presentation, discussion, and resolution.
- Work closely with our customer's planning organization such to establish explicit understanding of planning rules and guidelines. Establish measures to track performance against these mutual expectations.
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Work closely with Supply Planning to identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply periods.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.
- Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.

- Statistics, forecasting, or sales planning background.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
- Experience with or knowledge of demand planning software.
- Demonstrated expertise in ERP applications.
- Organized, thorough, and pays attention to details.
- Business, product, and sales understanding as it relates to the impact on demand and the projection of demand.
- Broad based knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, manufacturing, distribution and inventory control processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Food industry experience.
