Baer is looking for Data Infrastructure Technical Lead for a 12+ month project located in Tampa, FL.
Title: Data Infrastructure Technical Lead
Location: Hybrid - Able to work onsite in Tampa, FL at own expense.
Duration: 12 months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Description:
- Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to data infrastructure engineering related activities
- Develop standards around data storage, processing, transit, and security
- Responsible for support of data storage, virtualized environment, cloud environments, servers, and data analysis tools
- Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
- Work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes
- Analyze and propose changes to data infrastructure, hardware, software, and hosted applications
- Perform infrastructure coordination related to setup and support activities at different stages of a project
- Work with various vendors and service providers to evaluate technology opportunities
- Assist the engineering team in support and configuration issues, prepare status reviews, and reports
- Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects
- Consult and update project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications
- Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
- Maintain a good working knowledge of current data infrastructure space and future trends
- Data storage and processing technologies
- Cloud computing platforms (MS Azure)
- Data analysis and visualization tools
- Scripting and automation
- Awareness of software application technologies and IT service methodologies
- Bachelor's Degree
