Credit and Collections Specialist
National Coatings & Suppliers, Inc.

We are looking for a Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team in Raleigh NC.

$27-$28.50 per hour doe.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for credit and collection of accounts for assigned sales region
• Assist with Credit Departments calls throughout the day
• Monitor account list daily to prioritize accounts that require collection activity
• Log all account contact and resolutions
• Work with internal departments, store managers and sales teams to collect delinquent balances
• Determine best solutions to resolve customer issues that may have caused payment delays
• Make decisions on setting terms and credit limits for new and existing customer accounts
• Set payment plans
• Distribute month-end reports for assigned region
• Work with collection agency on accounts with extreme outstanding balances
• Assist in the accurate and timely processing of all NSF checks or credit card chargebacks
• Help to maintain customer credit files
• Review questionable matters and refers issues to the Credit Managers as necessary
• Maintain a good relationship with store managers and divisional managers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 1-3 years of previous credit, collections, and accounts receivable experience
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial record keeping as they relate to the credit function
• Strong computer skills and proficient in use of Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Proper time management skills to consistently meet daily and monthly deadlines
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong motivation, communication, and comprehension skills
